Fished with 2 good fishermen today from central CT. Both were really capable with a spinning and fly rod. We were on the hunt for Albies and while leaving the doc had Albies blow up on us before we got to the end of our pier. We threw at them and weren’t able to get one. From there we found more pods but weren’t able to get Mr, HardTail to the boat but we had our chances. Really didn’t matter all that much as Rich and Gary caught lots of fish in every spot from Pine Island to Plum Gut. We were in birds so thick that there was never a doubt where the fish were. Caught Bonito and Bluefish after Bluefish (a couple were nice size fish too!). Birds were on fish almost everywhere and I mean huge schools of Bluefish. Some of the schools we were measuring in acres. Very windy today blowing out of the NE to 30 but we still found lots of birds and even more fish. Really fun day. Hope to fish this uncle/nephew duo again. I’ll post some pics when I get them.
