10% Chance Of Rain for Anthony and His Pals

Yesterday was a supposed to be a 10% change of showers. We timed the tides and left the dock at 10 am. No sooner did we leave then it started pouring. We were all soaked by 10:30.  We got over it quickly though…first cast, first rip….Bang!! Nice Striper on. Fished 4 or 5 different rips and caught fish after fish for 8 hours. All fish caught and released on fast retrieve 1oz jigs with 15 lb test leaders. Days total for three anglers; +- 100 bluefish, 20 Stripers, 3 big sea bass, and dozens of Porgies. I don’t normally brag about Porgies but these boys learned a new way of catching them and really caught Porgy Fever.  If I took a break for a moment I’d find them all trying the new porgy technique.  Fishing really couldn’t have been better.  The day was so much fun and I’m looking forward to  fishing this southern CT/Westchester County  posse again.
