Fished the ebb tide this afternoon with locals from the New Haven area. One of the group had some good prior experience while the others hadn’t been fishing much. However, that didn’t stop the Stripers from blasting our baits all day. We started at Plum Island and found a few fish but it was hard fishing with newcomers, so we decided to run to Taylor Swift’s house at Watch Hill and found a Striper Blitz. Stripers and birds were going crazy for the last 2 hours of the ebb tide and everyone hooked up with abandon. Some of these fish were really nice in the 20lb class but we never got one of the larger fish to the boat. Nevertheless, great time was had by all. Hope to fish this group again soon.
