So some bad wind kept me off the water much of the week. When we could get out there were lots of fish but try as we might very few False Albacore. Plenty of topwater fly rod action for Stripers, Mackerel and Bluefish but the hard tails are difficult to come by this year. Montauk has fish but it takes a nice calm day to go over and back and those days have been hard to come by. It’s still mid October so it’s possible matter could change. In the mean time I’m happy that the year so far has been loaded with an abundance of Stripers and Bluefish.
