Fished with three young guys from NYC and Boston. We had to rearrange our trip to a ‘not so good’ morning tide because of crazy high anticipated afternoon winds. My guys were game for the change and it actually worked out just fine. Caught maybe 25 Bluefish and then went on the hunt for Stripers. We finally found some birds working a rip and were lucky enough to get a nice Striper on 10lb test, with a 1oz jig and a softail swimming mullet. The guys were scheduled to go golfing in the afternoon so we had to be back around noon. All in all a really fun day and… right on time, at 1 o’clock, it started blowing (gusts to 40mph) so it’s fortunate that we rearranged the days schedule.
