Be Thankful for Radar!!!

  1. Fished in dense fog almost all day. Didn’t clear until maybe 2 o’clock.  We forged ahead using the radar and  were only able to fish shrimp trawlers until the fog lifted. Didn’t matter though as we caught 25 Albies this morning before the fog lifted.   Weather was nice and warm but just dripping with a foggy mist all day. Fish were average to above average size today with our biggest in the 15 lb range. Once the fog lifted we headed for Beaufort Inlet to fish the end of the ebb tide and it was loaded with fish jumping everywhere.  Good thing we had radar or we  wouldn’t have been able to fish at all today. Fishing tomorrow so be on the lookout for the next Harkers Island False Albacore Report.
