Fished the flood tide today and only looking for Albies. Yesterday was a blow out so I was wondering how the Albie fishing would be with the lower temp and the water a little cooler. Turns out yesterday’s wind turned the fish on again. Found fish in every spot I visited. And they were hungry today too. Fish were charging bait with abandon and consequently weren’t too boat shy. Only thing that put a damper on the fabulous fishing was daylight. Sun is setting earlier every day and today it cut short some great fishing. I expect this to continue well in to October. Also, I may have mentioned this in a previous report but, the Albies this year are, on average, bigger than recent years. Not sure why but it makes for some great fishing on the fly and light tackle.
