Fished with Timothy, recently from Germany but originally from the States, today. I was contacted by his fiancé about a month ago with a request to take Timothy, his son and brother Albie fishing as a wedding gift. Trick was he was getting married in Milford at 4 PM and we were fishing from 6 until noon and the boat is in New London! Calling it close for sure but we got it done…..including everyone got their first and (2nd & 3rd) Albie. Yesterday’s wind blew to 40 mph and we had a steady 25-30 mph but we were able to hug the coast on a North wind and get into fish. We found fish everywhere on the CT coast and a lot of fish at that. Very tough casting, even with spinning rods, and yet they were able to get their fish and all while catching Albie fever. Anyway, what a way to start your new married life…by catching your first Albie with your son and brother.
