Striper Showing Watch Hill and CT River

Been fishing regularly all last week.  In all cases had really good fishermen (and women) on board. Fished both fly rod and light tackle. Have had to run Long Island Sound from New London a few miles in opposite directions to find fish but luckliky have been able to scare up Stripers on all trips.  The fish I’ve found at Watch Hill have been very tide sensative but the fish at mouth of CT River seem a little less so.  Stripers have been schoolies through mid 20”s with small Bluefish mixed in. Water temps other than up the river have been in the low 50’s which is pretty cool for this time of year.  I’m expecting thing to only pick up as the water warms. Good news is there seem to be lots of schoolies for future populations. Keep checking as I’m fishing tomorrow morning.  Fingers crossed that we get in to some bigger fish.
